Being in special care can be a bit bitter sweet at times as it is transitional care meaning babies are constantly being discharged home whilst we are still sat in our corner. Today though, was a very happy day as one of the babies who has been in NNU for the last 7 months is on her way home! Such a fantastic day for the family. I will miss my chats with the parents and I really appreciated all the advice and support from parents who understand and been there too. Still, hopefully we won’t be too far behind!
The doctors are still working towards getting us home for my birthday at the start of March but it is pretty much all down to Savannah and her feeding. She is getting there but still has moments of stubbornness / laziness / tiredness where she refuses to feed.
She continues to grow (now over 4kg and almost 9lbs), continues to provide awesome cuddles and continues to be super cute.
(Another chance to see her tube free as her canular was changed)

Very ginger…
