Stepping stone

So the drugs seem to be working and Savannah has been moved out of intensive care and into high dependency again. Hopefully a short stepping stone till we are back in special care.

They are keeping the settings the same today so the flow rate is still up a bit at 6.0 but her oxygen requirements are down to 23%. We’ll have to see if SJ can maintain these levels as the steriods come out of her system. Let’s hope so!

For all the grief Sam gives me for knowing everyone in London we bumped into someone he knows on the unit. Well okay it took his mum and the Goring chatter to tell Sam we knew him, but it transpires one of the dad’s here (in with twins born at 25 weeks) was at the same primary school as Sam. After reminising they also had the same scary piano teacher and even played together at Sam’s house. Small world!

In other news we continue to be spoilt by our friends and loved ones with knitters still hard at work (Granny busy making a cardigan),  friends having us over for dinner and helping us have conversations outside of hospitals and Savannah (good catching up on old work gossip), neighbours having us over for food and nibbles (and cuddles with their kids) and sisters helping bring some sunshine into the house with lovely flowers…

  1. Just saw the picture of Roz holding Savannah and thought how big Savannah looked. I then looked back at the first picture in the blog. It was scary seeing the first pictures again!
Good luck on the round London cycle, I will sponsor when the date gets nearer,
