We can’t hide from the truth any longer… It seems Savannah is most definitely a (ahem) strawberry blond. I blame Sam!

Although I think the photo does make it a little more pronounced…

So earlier today SJ was having a ‘nose break’ and a rest from Cpap so we got a rare chance to see her without her mask and hat. I hardly recognise her.

Minutes after this photo was taken though she had a catastrophic desat and needed bagging but she picked up again… Needless to say she isn’t quite ready to breath on her own yet.

SJ continues to remain fairly stable but is creeping up every so slightly on her oxygen requirements and is still up and down a little.  She is putting on weight and is just below 1500g (over 3lbs) which should all help. 

The results from the xray show small signs of metabolic bone disease but it sounds like this is fairly standard for prem babies. As SJ already is on preventative measures with vitamin D being added to her milk, the doctors don’t seem that concerned.

So Savannah has stalled a little but is growing bigger and stronger (hopefully) each day so fingers crossed her breathing will start improving soon!
