So Savannah is generally being a good girl and sticking to her routine. She has been tolerating her feeds and has gone up to 6ml every hour which is great… meaning she is creeping back toward her birth weight and is back over 800g.

Aunty Sarah and Granny also came for a visit although at times Savannah was a bit of a diva and refused to pose for pictures.

Ever since she has been born SJ has been in hats and so we had no idea if she had any hair on her head. One of the nurses very kindly opened the flap on her hat for us to have a sneaky peak. Hugely relieved not to see a ginger afro lurking under the hat (although sure there is time for that to come!!!).

And SJ has been so well behaved they are trying to get her on CPAP again and extubated her last night. Not that it’s a competition but I am a proud mum to say Savannah is the star of the room currently and has beaten all the other babies to have her tube out first!

Having said that, she is doing okay but could be doing better on it so we’ll have to see if she manages to stay on it for a sustained period of time but so far so good. She is still so small and had moments where she forgets to breath / just gets a bit tired so keeping our fingers crossed she doesn’t have to be re intubated again.

In general though a good start to her 2 week anniversary 😀
