So the last couple of days have been a little bumpy…. Overall Savannah is still stable and doing all the things ‘expected’ of a pre term baby but every up and down feels so extreme to Sam and me.

She has been having trouble digesting her feeds so has been on and off feeds over these two days. As of writing she is back on hourly feeds but we are still waiting for her stomach to kick start!

So without her feeds she isnt gaining huge amounts of weight yet but hoping she tolerates her feeds tonight and can start gaining.

Otherwise she had been off, back under and off the UV light and kept having moments where she forgot to breath so has got her breathing tube back in which resulted in our first “out of hours” call from the unit which was a little tough!

After the initial shock and disappointment of it all she actually seems really settled today and a bonus of being off the UV means we get to see her face and her eyes when she opens them.

We are also being inundated with kind thoughts and well wishes from everyone and our house is bursting with beautiful flowers and cards.
