The eyes have it

This morning stated off as a mixed bag. After her sleep study (where her saturation levels are recorded for 15 hours and analysed to try and set her oxygen level) she had been moved up to 0.2 but is still a level we can go home on. She will have another one early next week for (hopefully) her final setting.

On a more positive note though Savannah had another eye test this morning and has been discharged from retinopathy screening (she won’t have any more eye tests)! Yippee.

So feeding is all that stands between us and going home.

The last couple of days Savannah has been pretty good with me but she needs to be consistent and needs to stay waking during the night but is generally more like this…

During the day, however, she seems to be better and moments when she is wide awake so I asked the consultant when we could go home. He was suitably vague as all depends on SJ and feeding but probably “a couple of weeks”. So we are still aiming for birthday celebrations with Savannah at home but we need more moments like this at feed times.

  1. Get all the sleep that you can…I think you are facing a few weeks without sleep when SJ comes home.i would love to meet her but understand that you need to keep her away from her adoring public for a while. Lots of love Auntie Sue x x x ps looking forward to knitting the next size of clothes as she looks a whopper!!!
