My old housemate and I were both due within a week of each other…as it turned out our babies were born more than 100 days apart. Much to Sam’s dismay (apparently I know everyone in London) and annoyance (I trumpted his knowing a dad in ICU) we found this out through the happy announcement on Facebook but also because they turned out to be the parents of the new baby in the cot next to ours in SCBU (we’re in bay 7).
Huge congrats to Dan and Emily on the arrival of their little whopper (weighing in at over 9lbs). His stay in SC was only very temporary luckily and hopefully he and mum will be able to go home today.
Other than that Savannah is doing well, putting on more weight (3605g, 7.9lbs) and was moved down to 3.0 flow rate which she seems to be tolerating well so far. Breastfeeding is still proving a little too much for her at the moment so feeding tube most definitely still in place for the foreseeable.
Dad (and uncle) are also doing really well with their bike training even though this means training rides in the cold and wet; but hopefully it is all worth it to support the great charity who has helped Savannah and St George’s so much in these last 108 days.
